How to Connect Range Extender to an Unsecured / Open Network

How do I connect my Nighthawk WiFi Range Extender AC1900 EX7000 to an unsecured / open network?  (Note: Unsecured /  open networks do not have passwords. )

    Are you using the web browser setup method?

     

    If so, are you saying the extender is requiring you to enter a passphrase when you select the router network?
