I live in a hotel. Looking for extender

I live in a hotel 1st floor. The wifi here is horrible for my kids to play online with their PS4's.

I borrowed my dads netgear EX6100 and it made the wifi worse. I need to buy something to make the wifi better. i don't know what kind of router they have. I just connect by choosing their wireless network, and enter the password and my name and i'm conected.I did a speedtest and it was 0.11 Mbps download and 0.08 Mbps upload! Please help just tell me what to buy? Please

    Hello nsdelgao3

     

    Any time you use a extender via wireless you are going to have speed loss you can try and change wireless channels to improve this. Is there a place you can connect the extender via ethernet and use it as a access point?
