I’m going to try my best to explain my current situation as best as possible since I’m not entirely tech savvy or literate. My current situation is that there are devices that need to be hardwired but the devices are located in separate rooms. One device in my room and one in my brother’s. Now I know that I can use the EX7000 to wirelessly connect to my router and just use the Ethernet ports but doing that cuts down on download speeds. So I was wondering if I can use the Ethernet port in my room and plug the extender into that so I won’t have to wirelessly connect to the router? The current set up is that we have Frontier FiOS and the ONT box is located in our garage. Not sure what that means but the employee from BestBuy said it acts as the modem so that all the Ethernet ports our house can support a router without the need of an actual modem. So currently, all we currently have the Nighthawk X6 plugged into the Ethernet port in my brother’s room and is producing a Wifi signal with internet. We now both have desktops that have no Wifi adapters. So in order to use the internet on our computer we need to be wired. We used to share a room so it was never a problem since the router was in our room but now that we have our own rooms, he kept the router while I have no possible way of accessing internet via wired connection. Since we both game, we prefer a wired connection overall for the best performance. Hence the reason why we never purchased a Wifi adapter for our PC. While trying to look up a solution for my problem, I was constantly seeing answers like using the EX7000 as an access point. However, instructions say to plug it in to a router, which defeats my purpose of buying the extender in the first place since the extender would need to be located in my brother’s room. So long story short, can I hardwire the EX7000 using the Ethernet port in my room so that it can provide internet to my devices that need to be hardwired into the extender?7.1KViews0likes4CommentsEX6150 WiFi range extender drops connection for a few seconds very often.
I have the latest firmware. I'm located a floor above my router and use the EX6150 so that I can get a stronger connection in my room. I've noticed that every hour or so, the connection will drop for a few seconds and then reconnect. I used to own the EX6100 and I never had this problem before. Does anyone have any idea as to what is happening here and why this is happening with the new extender but not the old one? I know that it isn't the extender itself because I also own an EX6400 and the same issue occurs. Things I've tried: - Updated to the latest firmware. - Switched Wifi channels. - Removed devices from my network. - Moved the extender to be slightly closer to my router. - Reset the extender. - Reset the router. - Replaced the ethernet cable the extender connects to my PC with. - Replaced the power strip. I'm really at a loss.1.3KViews0likes1CommentEX6920 AC1200 range extender
Is there a trick to connect the range extender to the 5 ghz band? Range extender only connects to the 2.4 ghz which is b/g/n. Tried pushing WPS button twice, per directions. Reset devices, no joy. Defeats the purpose of extending AC signal if the extender to router link is b/g/n. Network details and perf testing below: Router is NETGEAR R6400. Range extender is NETGEAR EX6920. All devices have been updated with most recent updates (as of 1/21/18). WIFI performance when connected directly in same room as router using Speedtest app: 5ghz network: 104.77 mbps 2.4ghz network: 36.89 mbps WIFI performance when connected to extender near upstairs office area, also using Speedtest app: 15.89 mbps best performance testing over both the 2_GEXT and 5_GEXT Again, the extender is pushing out both 2.4 and 5 ghz signal but it will only connect on the 2.4 band to the router which degrades the performance.685Views0likes2CommentsAc750 dual band wifi range extender

Yet, cannot connect to the internet on my device?
Hi, I recently bought the; NETGEAR 11AC 1200 Mbps (300 Mbps + 900 Mbps) Dual Band Wi-Fi Range Extender with External Antennas (Wi-Fi Booster) (EX6120-100UKS) off Amazon due to the reviews. I set it up correctly, had all the lights on it solid green. It was showing up on my iphones wifi list and said it was connected to it, but when I tried to access the internet it wouldn't do it and just constantly said connecting but no further. If anyone has any idea why or a solution before I get a refund for it, that would be extremely appreciated. Thank you!1.2KViews0likes1CommentMy wifi extender will not reset with factory reset button WN3000RPv3

I went through the steps to set up my Netgear wifi extender (following a video tutorial on YouTube). At the end, it appeared to skip the last step, but I'm not sure. How can I be sure it was set up correctly and is working properly? Is there a utility or method to check if it is operating? Thanks.4.2KViews0likes1CommentNETGEAR EX7000 Connection Problems
Hello Guys, i have a big issue with my Range Extender* ( EX7000). (I'm connected to the 2GEXT.) The problem is that my Labtop, Computer connects fine to the RE* ... but my other devices like my PS4, Iphone , IPad have Problems with the Connection. I solved the Problem on the I/phone/pad by typing the CLIENT-ID manually in the WLAN Settings from the RE. But on the PS4 i can't connect to the RE. I tested it via LAN and WLAN Connection.. FAILED.. But when i connect to the main WIFI Connection everything works fine.. Also tried to reset the RE Device.. same result. I also have Problems to connect on http://mywifiext.net/. My Internet explorer tells me ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT while i'm connected to the RE Device... Can anybody help me or have the same Problem with the RE EX7000 ? Thanks Rufii3.9KViews0likes3Comments
