I have an SRR60 with four active SSID's and about 75 devices connected. (A lot of home automation) A couple times a day, the Wi-Fi seems to shut off. Multiple devices and PC's in the house report no Wi-Fi connection. This occurs on all the SSID's 5 and 2.5 at the same time. About a minute or two later everything restores. I'm on the latest/last firmware. 2.7.3.100. The uptime on the debug page is accurate. The unit is not rebooting. No errors or bad signals on the cable modem. (bridged and no Wi-Fi) Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.NETGEAR DG834Gv5: disconnessione dispositivi
Per NetGear social media, we are supposed to suggest the below idea here. My idea, as crazy as it sounds, is that Netgear continue to support their R8000 devices. I know, sounds insane but hear me out. People spent hundreds of dollars on a product featuring the "latest tri-band wifi" technology. Now instead of leaving them hanging with a big security exploit for two months, device issues and a feature release stall, Netgear should develop a new robust firmware. Ideally it would be one that wouldn't encourage them to go out and try questionable 3rd party firmwares. That means, it should be competitive (feature wise) with those 3rd parties while fixing ongoing issues highlighted in the forums. Benefits: 1. Happy customers who don't feel like they wasted money and are not stranded with a reletively up to date tech, that lacks manufacture support, features and security. 2. See #1 above. I think it deserves reiteration. Facts 1. product saw less than 18 months of firmware releases and developer support. 2. Nearly 9 months have past since the last firmware update (as of 8/31/2016). 3. June 2016: security notice suggested disabling of features due to security exploit. 4. 2 month later, June 2016 security exploit is still unpatched, leaving customers exposed. 5. There are no Nighthawk products listed on the NetGear EoL page, including the R8000. 6. The product is still available through online and big-box retailers.125KViews7likes14CommentsWAC104 Unable to Control WiFI Channel BandWidth
I setup 4 WAC104 as Acces Points, and there are no settings available to limit channel Bandwidth in 2.4 and 5GHz spectrums. There is a compatibility setting which appears to give no control over BandWidth. The shopping Center is very congested and I would like to force SSID "VillageLife" to 20MHz (See attached Images). This should be a setting to make it more friendly in congested areas. Apple devices do not use 40MHz, only 20MHz. Am I missing something? I contacted Tech Support and they claim there is no setting to limit Bandwidth, and told me to post it here. Most WiFi AP units I have dealt with allow you to limit bandwidth, so I'm surprised to see there is no bandwidth setting, and therefore hard to recommend to other clients (we like the 4 LAN ports SWITCH, allowing us to hardwire local computers to Ethernet and not WiFi).23KViews1like2Commentsmake it possible to go up one level in cli configuration of WNDAP620
it would be cool to be able to go up one level during cli configuration of said AP. Like in Ciscos IOS, if you are in "configure terminal" or in an "interface" you should be able to go up one config level to be able to choose a different configuration item. At the moment you're "stuck" in the lower level and need to reconnect (and relogin) to configure the AP further10KViews1like1CommentD6220 e stampante wifi
Merci bien.4.5KViews0likes3CommentsPing spikes and packet loss on WiFi
Hi, I’m having trouble with my orbi router with online gaming over WiFi. For the rest it works extremely well with high speed (400 down 40 up) and very low pings (10ms), all on WiFi. However with online gaming I got ping spikes and packet loss which makes it impossible to game online over WiFi. Over Ethernet it works great so it’s not my ISP that is the issue. How can I solve the spikes? There is not QoS option available in the routers interface. I have tried switching the satellite off but the problem remains. Hope somebody can help! Thanks ChristiaanWNDR3400V3 - Wireless quit working completely
WNDR3400V3, been solid and working for a long time, Home environment, Win8.1. wifi working ok, updated firmware to 1.0.1.18_1.0.63, was at a very recent level, seemed to go ok, no other changes. All wifi devices fail to connect, no error msgs, devices connect to other networks. Both radio leds are lit on the router, recycled wifi anyway, no joy. Did a hard reset, no symptom changes, acts like wifi function died completely. Regressed to older firmware version, hard reset, showed update available, downloaded the firmware update again, update seemed ok, hard reset, still no wifi support at all, either radio. Any ideas? Acts like wifi simply gone. All visual indicators look good. My simply be hardware failure.Solved
