Installing my new EX6100 Wifi Range Extender

Hello,

We have two Comcast accounts, and my boss wants to cancel one because it's costing us lots of money.  His idea

was to install a range extender in the detached office.   He needs wi-fi in his home which is one hundred

feet away from the office.  We let the Comcast accoount go unpaid for the home, and it became cancelled.

So we still have Comcast service in the office, and today I tried installing the Extender in a location about ten inches

away from the Comcast-supplied router and modem.   I followed the instructions in the NetGear manual, specifically

the "Connect with WPS" on page six, however the WPS LED on the Extender stayed dark, and also the Router Link LED

stayed dark.  Our Comcast-supplied router has a "WPS" button on its top, and the button become illuminated when I pressed

it.

So, after repeating this several times, I refered to "Connect with NetGear genie Smart Setup" on page 8, and followed the

instructions once again.   When I visited "http://www.mywifiext.net/" I get the following message using our Chrome web browser:

YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR EXTENDER’S WIFI NETWORK. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CURRENT CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN.

For detailed instructions how to do this please see: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29746

So, that is where I am now.  Please help me.  My boss wants his wi-fi in his house!

Thanks,

Juro
