Mesh wifi extender problems

*Model is an ac1900 wifi range extender Model EX6400* So, my old wifi extender (model AC1200 EX6150V2) was starting to drop signals, and overall stop working. So, I decided to pick up the AC1900 EX6400. Upon setup it would not connect to the wifi network and would not display the EXT networks it should show. Although it does not work wirelessly, it does work when wired through ethernet to my computer. I have tried everything from factory reseting it, factory reseting the old one, and rebooting my router and nothing has seemed to work, it still will not give a wireless EXT signan. Does anyone know what might be wrong?
