Model WN3000RPv3 new router- incorrect password

Hi

Im in the Uk looking for help please. We have upgraded our router but stayed on the same network. Since doing so my wifi extender wont work.

We used it previously for our bedroom extension as it has 2 outside walls seperating it from the main house and signal is poor. It worked brilliantly.

I tried to connect my tv to the extender and it says incorrect password all of the time. So, I tried to reset the extender by reintitiating the set up steps. I tried to connect my iphone to it when it was next to the router (and connected) but this too says that the password is incorrect. I have tried factory resetting and using the password 'password', but to no avail.

I dont know what I am doing wrong but clearly its something!

I feel like I have tried everythting- inc advise sought from here- but nothing seems to be working. Do i just give up and buy an new extender? If anyone can help Id be eternaly grateful,  but please can we speak in lay-mans terms. Im no dumbo, but I dont understand lots of the PC jargon.

Many, many thanks in advance

yours hopefully

Julie-Ann

try resetting it 1 more time. While its fully powered on, push and hold reset. It usually is 7-15 seconds but some devices take up to 30 seconds. The lights will flash/change when held long enough.

the defaults to login to the device (not the wireless password info)

    Default login is: admin

    default password is: password

I'd recommend hardwiring into the extender and following the install guide and not using wps install. (wps=push button)

what router is it you upgraded to?
