mr60 configuration changes revert after rebooting

all changes to my mr60 go away every time I reboot.

Hardware Version: MR60
Firmware Version: V1.1.7.134_2.0.65

I am experiencing the same issue discussed at length here that never had a proper resolution:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Wi-Fi-6-AX-Mesh/MR60-not-saving-changes-after-reboot/m-p/2334822

I have attempted to factory reset using the physical button hidden inside the hole using a paperclip, waited 7 seconds as advised, the light started blinking white after 7 seconds. My unit eventually booted with my previous config intact.

I have attempted the software reset via the web management interface Backup -> "Erase - Revert to factory settings", confirm "Yes", the modem rebooted, blinking white, and again my previous config is intact.

I've tried the 30-30-30. same thing.

Please advise.

Have you saved off a back up configuration to file soon after setting up the MR60?

Try manually re-loading the FW on the MR, then factory reset and setup from scratch, save off the backup config to file soon after. Then try a reboot to see if the configuration persists.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

It was connected to an arris SB8200.

It is now connected to a hitron coda56.

I've had this issue for some time across both devices. The only reason I notice is because my custom dns settings get reverted every time it reboots.

I'll try the manual firmware install and factory reset as soon as it is ok to take down my internet here.

What custom DNS settings were you using?
