mywifi.net not working and some questions

I just got this N300 because in my house i just moved into my new room but from my room the the connection dropped significantlly (ex: orig download speed was 7.9 Mb/s now its 3 Mb/s at most but mostly i wast at a 1 bar connection) so i got it and installed it and evertyhing worked, but it didnt restore the original internet speed i had when i was much closer to the router and mywifi.net is not working, at first it did and it said to download some firmware so i did and it just said that the webpage was unavailable after the download.

What is the actual model number of the extender please?

The extender can only possibly repeat the signal at the point it is placed, so if for example your computer at that same location can achieve a throughput of say 100Mbps, then that may well be the best that the extender can then repeat. Note also that due to the way WiFi operates, the throughput will then typically halve as data is transmitted/received from remote client devices.

As for your mywifiext.net issue, that URL will only work if the computer is currently associated with the extender, and will not work if the computer is associated with the base station.
