Hello Nemo-2000
Have you tried to factory reset the modem and setup the network again or even back up your config and then load it after the reset?

Some further investigation suggested a channel conflict.....
My router has always been set to choose a channel automatically and until recently there had never been a problem. Some diagnostics showed that the problem occurred whenever the router chose Channel 1, but not if it chose 6 or 11. My neighbours' (strong signal) WiFi currently is running on 4.
I changed my router to always use Channel 11 (as any other Channel 11 networks in my area are far away with very weak signals) and so far - fingers crossed! - there has been no further problem. I'm just hoping now that my neighbours' router doesn't change to 11 one day :-( Quite why his router on 4 should interfere so badly with mine on 1, but not when mine was on 6, remains a mystery.......
