N300 EX2700 - can't reset extender or login with old/default admin username. Please help!

Please help with resetting the EX2700 so I can connect it to my home network. Can't seem to reset it, use old passwords, or the admin username to get into it.

    Pleas make sure a proper reset is done as described on page 34 of the user manual on this link.

      After trying that page, the wifi still doesn't show up as NETGEAR_EXT. Anyone other suggestions?
