N300 I want to only wire, and turn off the wireless sometimes

Hi, My wireless extender has an option to wire to it, so I have done so. I don't want to leave the wireless on. I notice if I turn off the extender altogether, the entire thing turns off. I only want the wireless signal off, not tne entire extender. I can't find any way in the interface to turn that signal off. How do I do this? Thanks!
