Try removing the network from the tablet in the tablets wifi settings then try connecting again.

Apologies for the delay in responding, I had issues getting logged back in to this forum. I did solve it. I had to buy an ethernet cable. This connects to the extender. The other end goes plugs into your computer. If I remember correctly, once you have the extender connected you log into the Netgear support website which is detailed in the instructions book. From there I found the password. I think it was quite self explanatory once logged in. Be warned though, if your default password is anything like mine for the extender it will be over 40 characters long!! Good luck- SmartyukDec 18, 2017Aspirant
Thanks for the reply however I am trying to connect my samsung tablet and so cannot plug in a cable, or are you telling me to connect to a computer just so I can get a password? but also it is now out of waranty so can I still get my password? I am not very clever when trying to do computer stuff. What really doe annoy me is netgear dont care unless your stuff is registered and within your guarentee, at the end of the day it is still from them and they have the easy answers. Thank you
