Netgear 6100 ext

Question

I have a Netgear 6100 Extender. I have a new router and wifi oassword. Need to re-set the extender. I cant connect to it. Any suggestions?

What new router did you get (model)?
Factory reset the extender&nbsp; and set it up using the installation assistant.To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.&nbsp;Here's a video of how to use the assistant.&nbsp;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJVklshxBMk

Which one? The R6100 is a router, not an extender. The EX6100 is as extender. But there are other "6100s".

Visit the support pages:Support | NETGEARFeed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.Look for the model number on the label on the device.You may have done that already. I can't tell from your message. I mention it because Netgear gave up on supplying paper manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

PLEASE HELP!I have a ASUS router and a Netgear 6100 extender and had to factory reset the extender. Now I can see it on my laptop WiFi list but when I click it I'm not prompted to add password (as all assistants and guides say) but just get a screen saying "can't access url".&nbsp;When I go on the ASUS WiFi and log on to "mywifiext" I just get that I am "not connected to your extender's WiFi network". What am I doing wrong?&nbsp;&nbsp;I've tried from my iPhone as well, the 2G SSID opens a login page but then says "Error when page opened, cannot connect to server".&nbsp;The 5G SSID keeps spinning/waiting&nbsp;Thank you!!!Lisa
