Netgear 6100 extender - can't connect to network
PLEASE HELP!
I have a ASUS router and a Netgear 6100 extender and had to factory reset the extender. Now I can see it on my laptop WiFi list but when I click it I'm not prompted to add password (as all assistants and guides say) but just get a screen saying "can't access url".
When I go on the ASUS WiFi and log on to "mywifiext" I just get that I am "not connected to your extender's WiFi network". What am I doing wrong?
I've tried from my iPhone as well, the 2G SSID opens a login page but then says "Error when page opened, cannot connect to server". The 5G SSID keeps spinning/waiting
Thank you!!!
Lisa

Did you set it up using the push button WPS option?
If so, factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJVklshxBMkThank you. Yes, I did factory reset but cannot follow Installation Assistant since my laptop won't even log on to the NETGEAR wifi (it shows in the list but cannot be accessed). It should prompt a username/password but just says "no connection". This is my problem.
It won't prompt just by connecting to it.
Once you connect, you have to go to mywifiext . net
then it should take you to a prompt to set it up.
