Netgear AC1750 Router I bought over a year ago
Let me start with I dont know much about computers so I was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. I have a NETGEAR Dual-Band AC1750 Router that runs the Wifi in my home. I receintly built a 12' x 20' metal building workshop for my wife. She uses her computer and printers a lot in what she does. Unfortunately once you walk into the metal building you get no wifi. SO I ran a Cat 5e cable from the back of the NETGEAR Router to the building so she could plug in. Her new computer does not have the Ethernet plug in so my question is. Is there something I could buy, that I could plug the Cat 5e cable into in her workshop that would give her wifi in the building? Thank you very much for any help!

yes, many of netgears extenders (not all of them) support acces point mode. and most routers do as well.
You could buy an extender or router, run it in access point mode and have working wifi in the shed.

So anything that says "access point mode" would work??

*should* work.
When it comes to people wiring/setting up their own stuff, I always preface with *should*. :)
I'd recommend at least a dual band extender or even checking out some of the refurb/renewed routers. benefit to the router is then you have a backup router if the primary goes down. just don't run it in router mode or you'll end up with a double nat issue.
