Netgear AC750 WIFI Extender EX3700 - Missing Protocols

Hi,

 

Just bought a Wifi Extender EX3700, had some issues setting it up because I couldn't get my laptop to detect the new wifi SSID. Figured that out and got it working.

 

But then as I'm testing it out to try and fix lag issues, it abruptly stops connecting to the internet. All lights on the extender itself stay on, and using the Windows 10 troubleshooter informs me that the network is missing protocols on this computer.

 

Restarting the laptop and reconnecting to the extender worked briefly, but stopped again after maybe 20 minutes. Protocol problem persists, so I look for a solution and find a Reliable Multicast Protocol to install, which other people (not using the extender, just having protocol issues in general) said helped them. Installed it, restarted again. Still unable to get internet through the extender.

 

No idea what to try next.

    Hello Hsmith99

     

    Have you tried to factory reset the extender and try setup again? also you may want and change channels on the router or reserve the IP of the extender on the router.
