I have the exact same problem & get the exact error about 'DFS channel not allowed & radar was detected before', that many other NetGear customers are reporting. It appears to be a bug. I'm using t...

Thanks for your quick reply. Much appreciated.
1) There is nothing in any of my NetGear documentation or this website (search in Net Gear support didn't come up with anything), that talks about this error, which DFS channels subject to radar restrictions, or anything related. So by 'read up' on this issue, what content are you referring to? Something outside NetGear knowledge base?
2) I don't live anywhere near an airport or military facility. There are no radar sources around me or even close enough to interfere with or be interfered with by my home wifi network. In addition, I have several other wifi access points & router in my home network, and none of them have any issues, hiccups, or even a suggestion, of a radar interference or conflict issue. It's only the NetGear product,
EX6150 that has the issue intermtintently a couple-few times a month. So I highly doubt there is any kind of radar interference or conflict issue at hand. This appears to be more likely a NetGear product bug. There are multiple NetGear users having this issue, and while there is little to nothing on NetGear's website or in its documentation, there is significant reports of this problem on the Internet, though very little on solutions for it. In everything i have read so far, none have been legitimate radar issues, all have either been product bugs or seemingly product bugs.
3) if there are indeed DFS channels that are not subject to this radar restriction, and therefore would not cause this issue, it is a very good suggestion you've made to move to those channels. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue. I'll give it a try.
4) any ideas why power cycling the EX6150 seems to clear the problem for a few weeks?
Bottom line, I believe NetGear has a bug that needs attention to truly resolve this issue permanently.

Hi,
Completely agree.
I have an R8000 and did had, i think V1..32 installed.
I attempetd to change my 2G channnel but was stopped as the second 5G channel was listed as úsing a DFS channel.
But it ONLY has DFS channels to select from...
I rolled back to V1...26 and was able to update my 2G channel without any error message, even though 5G channel 2 was still showing use of a DFS channel.
IMHO 100% an errror in the latest firmware.
