NetGear EX6120 AC 1200 WIFI Extender - Create New WiFi Connection to Replace former WiFi Connection
I purchased the NetGear EX6120 AC 1200 WiFi Range Extender in Aug 2022, and it no longer has NetGear software support.
We just completed a move and are on a new WiFi Connection and router/modem with the same IP provider Spectrum Internet. I can see the NETGEAR_EXT connection in the Manage Known Networks list, but not in the Show Available Networks list.
I am having difficulty creating a new WiFi connection to the Range Extender. I think I have followed the instructions correctly, but not even getting the IP address to come up online at NetGear site.
I am also trying to delete the former 2GEXT and 5GEXT connections to the Range Extender showing up in Available Networks list {as wrong/former SSID name now}, for which I selected "Forget" in the Manage Known Networks list.
I am trying to make the changes wirelessly, as the home's ethernet ports are not convenient. Should I connect to ethernet directly at router?
Looking for some step-by-step instructions better than what I have been doing.
Looking for Community assistance if possible. Thank you.

Factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

I see this query is awhile ago, today 11 Jul'25, but the solution for your extender is a hard reset, back to factory defaults. I know, not fun starting from scratch, but in long run shortest path.
