Netgear Ex8000 causing interference
I purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk Smart Wi-Fi Router (R6700) - AC1750… Then I purchased the NETGEAR Wi-Fi Mesh Range Extender EX8000. Everything seemed to work perfectly together. I recently updated both devices firmware and now when I plug in the EX8000, my Wi-Fi goes down and half of our Alexa Echos’/etc. stop working. I unplug the EX8000 and everything will work again after a reboot of each device. I have tried a few times re-syncing the AC1750 and Ex8000 but no changes in the outcome. The EX8000 seems to be causing my Wi-Fi to stop working. Any thoughts? Or is my EX8000 dropping the Wi-Fi connection? I think it wotrks for a bit, then it stops.

Anytime you change firmware and are having issues, the first step is to factory reset the device and reinstall it. Try pushing and holding reset for 7-15 seconds. the lights should change when its been held long enough.
then try the re-install.
If that doesn't work, I'd try re-installing the firmware. It wouldn't be the first time something didn't install correctly and factory resetting only removes the settings, it doesn't change the firmware.
If this doesn't help, you can downgrade the firmware to an older version. Make sure to do firmware changes over a hardwired connection for the best results.

Are you ewanting the factory reset / firware upgrade on the Routefr or Extendar?

Either? Both?
the R6700 recently got updated to netgear armor which has had its own issues. both devices respond well to a factory reset.
The reason I said either/both is because its stable when the extender isn't running but that doesn't automatically mean its the extender.
i'd start with just resetting them both and seeing how they function. If there's issues I'd downgrade the extender first by a version and then the router by a version
