Netgear extender EX7000 no internet access
I had a power outage last night and when I woke up the extender had actually factory reset itself somehow. I tried to reset up using the WPS buttons. It said the access points were set up but the setup couldn't complete because I wasn't on the internet. The 2/5 lights are solid green. The arrows are both solid green. Most of the time it doesn't even show up on the list of networks. If it does and I try to connect, it says no internet access. I had a flash of internet here and there which is how I was able to start the setup, but never long enough to finish. Now I can't get it at all again. Someone said it could be the firmware or configuration settings but you need to get into the mywifiext to fix those and I can't because it won't connect to the internet under the extender option. I've literally been trying 10 hours straight. I've reset a million times, redid the WAP buttons. Tried calling support and they want $99. For that, I'd just buy a new one. I don't understand why all the lights are solid green but there's still no internet. My main internet works fine. Any ideas before I throw this junk in the pool? (This has happened to various degrees a few times before with power outages, but usually the reset works).

- zebraxoxoAspirantYou can try accessing your extender through its IP address rather than the mywifiext site. The Netgear getting started guide suggests http://192.168.1.3 for the ex7000 but that might not be it. To find your extender's IP address you can logon to your router and look for it in the connected device list. Also sometimes http://mywifiext.local works.
