Netgear Genie not able to talk to extender

It's JK50 here. I had to create a new account to login, which is another issue that I'm having.

 

I've done everything that you suggested. The outcome is that Genie has reset so that it's at the beginning of the setup process. However, it's in a loop and keeps refreshing the screen so that I can't acutally use it.

 

Is the Extender faulty?

    Possibly.  One option of course is to replace it, perhaps with a higher-performing model.
