Netgear Nighthawk disrupting wifi (not extending!)
Hi there, any help greatly appreciated. I set up the Nighthawk wifi mesh extender to extend the wifi in our house (via NBN in Australia). Rather than extend the wifi signal, the Nighthawk actually appears to block the wifi signal to about half of our house! Have I bought the wrong device? Any suggestions as to how to properly use the AC2200 tri band wifi mesh extender would be great. If I have bought the wrong device, fine my error. However I am hoping it is the right advice and someone can point me in the right direction to utilise this device properly. Many thanks

What router is it connecting to?
What firmware is on the extender?
Did you set it up via wps or using the installation wizard?

Thanks very much for responding!
1. Router is a Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 with voice Backup model LH1000
2. Firmware of Netgear extender - I don't know, how do I find this out?
3. I used the WPS facility on the modem rather than instalation wizard

Try factory resetting the extender and reinstalling it using the installation wizard. Reason I recommend this is WPS can get coded different between device makers.
