Netgear Nighthawk EAX80 Bricked after latest firmware update
I have Netgear Nighthawk EAX80 (AX6000 Nighthawk Mesh Extender) and tried to install the latest firmware update V1.0.1.68_1.0.1 using the Nighthawk App. The Extender now is not functioning with the start light continously blinking white.
I have tried to restart / factory resets few times without any success, has anyone had the same poblem and managed to resolve the issue. Any help appreciated.
Thanks

You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Hi plemans
Thanks for your response, I had tried recovering via tftp as suggested using the video link but the wireless extender does not seem to read the file and therefore upload, not sure if the extender needs to be in access point mode, however as I cannot adjust any settings on the extender I cannot put it in access point mode..
I also tried using the cmd function, again here I get the message that it cannot read the local file.
Grateful for any alternative solution.
Thanks

the extender doesn't upload the file, the tftp/nmrpflash forces it to it.
did you extract the zip file prior to trying the upload?
how old is the EAX80? Is it still within warranty?
