Hi MichaelAE,
Region only limits the number of channels available for that region, but changes in environment or devices might need modification in wireless channel. So any router which belongs to any region must give a choice to modify wireless channel. You need to change the wireless mode on your WPN802 to modify wireless channel.

Hi MichaelAE,
Can you check and modify wireless channel on your router/gateway to see if you witness this issue? Are you coming across this issue after firmware upgrade?

Hi jvasanth1984,
Thank you for your reply. The wireless router I have is set to channel 6. However it does not allow the option to change it. The issue started occurring randomly. It had been working fine for months previously. Due to it not working, I then performed a firmware upgrade thinking that this would resolve the problem. I also performed a factory reset, however this did not resolve the issue either. Could the extender be faulty?
Regards,
Michael.

Hi MichaelAE,
This could be an issue with channel on router too. Please check with router vendor on why it was not letting you to change channel from 6 to other channel.

Hi Jvasanth1984,
The wi-fi router is a Netgear WPN802. Doing some further research advises that in some countries you are unable to change the channel. I am in Australia and I am not sure if this is the case. Are you able to assist further. Though it is still hard to explain why it has been working for a number of months and then stopped working without no changes taking place. In my opinion it is pointing to a faulty extender.
Regards,
Michael.
