Netgear Powerline 1000 PL1000 - wifi access failing

Ok, i have got it running. I started from the beginning again, I replaced all cables, did factory reset on modem and netgear and got the ethernet cable to computer and netgear working, range extender is now also working. I don't really know what I did, but thanks Stephen B for your input.

OK, have done that but no difference, same message when I try to connect mac book via ethernet cable. I have also taken the modem back to my internet supplier and swapped it for another, gain same issues persist.
