Hello RastusB2
What is your main router that the extender is connecting to?

I can see the 2.4 but I can't see the 5GHZ band.
Both bands have seperate passwords and names.
My router:
Belkin's Linksys EA6900, AC1900
Dual Band Smart Wi-Fi, 2.4 - 5 GHz
Broadcom TurboQAM Wi-Fi chip
Dual-Core 800MHz processor
802.11ac router

Hello RastusB2
Try to put the 5Gz on the router to a lower channel then see if the 5Ghz will show up.

NetGear Genie shows that the NetGear extender AC1200, is disconnecting from the internet daily and I have to click the connect button in the Genie app to reconnect it.
Should I re-install the extender?

Darren, I decided to go ahead and look into this, while I have the time.
In the LinkSys router, I can't see where I can assign the channels.
In the NetGear Genie, I don't see any settings either. So, is this a manual setting on the AC1200 extender? If so. Ill have to wait till I get back home to set it.
Thanks

Hello RastusB2
It should be in the wireless settings of your router or the advanced wireless settings.

When all else fails, do a factory reset and do a fresh install.
I now can log in to the extender. I was able to set up the two bands 2.4 & 5GHz, complete with two distinct names and differant passwords, It connected to both bands and I have rebooted the laptop and logged back into the extender. It still says that the 2.4 is available but not the 5GHz, differances are, this time the 5GHz is not greyed out, meaning it's active but not discoverable.
The linksys router shows that the device "NetGear" is there and has an IP
Back to the NetGear Genie, connected with a cat5 cable, directly to the extender, it will let me chose what newtorks to use, the order of connection, and using channel #3 for the 2.4, and channel #11 for the Guest Connection, but will not show the 5GHz connection.
I rebooted the LinkSys router and it shows both bands but the extender only sees the 2.4 & Guest
I am running the DHCP setting, Broadcast SSID, Channels here are set to 2.4GHz is 'Auto" and the 5GHz channel is set to "80".
I don't know what setting to use on the 2.4 channel but 'Auto"
