NetGear WiFi Range Extender

I have a Netgear Extender EX7000 AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Gigabit Range Extender WiFi Booster

 

I cant seem to get signal for 5GhZ only on 2.4GhZ on my extender (its always red, after green for a moment when first turn on) is there anything i should check with my network to try get this working or perhaps something that may limit this from working? thanks

    Hi Dan_Schultheis,

     

    Welcome to the community!

     

    It is possible that the location of the extender is too far for the 5GHz band signal of your main wireless router to reach. Try bringing it closer if possible.
