Netgear Wn2500RP cannot connect time new fibre router

Will my netgear extender work with fibre?

    Potentially. tough to tell off the limited info you gave us. 

    If you're already got the extender and are trying to connect it, try setting it up using the installation wizard and not wps. It tends to work better with ISP supplied routers.
