Network Genie Email Address Invalid Error
I get an Invalid Email message when I enter my email address (same one as used here) in the New Extender Setup dialog.
Solved!
I contacted Netgear Support and they confirm that the device was defective. The extender was replaced by Amazon and the new one works as expected and accepts the email address as entered.

Hi RonDace,
Please perform reset and reconfigure the unit with an e-mail which doesn't have any special characters. Your current e-mail seems to have a "." because of which you are experiencing this issue. Please follow below links on how to reset and reconfigure your extender.

Does the email address have to be valid?
I have two valid email addresses and they both have a "." in them.

Hi sbillings,
E-mail address need not to be a valid one. Try some e-mail without special characters in user name part and check if it works.
