I've been using the extender and it works fine. But recently I got a new router with a different SSID and my extender's network name is still the OLDNETORK_EXT and I can't find a way to change it to...

Hello tod818
what you need to do is factory reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10 seconds then you should be able to do the setup again with the new router.

I tried doing the factory reset, but when I plug the extender in, the old _ext network appears and Microsoft Edge, Chrome and IE all ask for a user name and password for the server, www.mywifiext.net. I don't know what user name and password it wants. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I too am having a difficult time understanding how to change the extender to sign on to a differerent network name and password. Help keeps saying to connect to the extender. I do not see how that is possible except using the non-existent network name. I do not see a reset "button" on the extender. I see a tiny hole and what looks like a tiny silver screw. Am I supposed to stick something inside the hole and hold for 10 seconds? Thanks.

Hello cmcasey
Yes that tiny hole is the Rest you will have to stick the a paper clip or a pin in the hole for 10+ seconds to reset the device.
