Nighthawk EX7000 AC1900 Wi-Fi Range Extender won't let me connect wirelessly but brodcasts a signal

I have been using this range extender since August without much issue, but the last two days have been driving me crazy.

The range extender connects to my modem wirelessly and has internet since a wired connection works. However, when I try to connect to either the 2.4GEXT or the 5GEXT that is brodcasted by my nighthawk range extender, I get the error "unable to join network" This occurs on every single device I've tried to connect to it with, including laptops, phones, and smart devices.

It just started randomly happening and it will not fix. I've tried a factory reset using both the mywifiext setting and by holding down the reset button the device for 30 seconds. I've tried power cycling. I've tried changing the SSID names and settings to see if I could get it to work at all with no luck. I'm on the latest firmware and even tried to downgrade to older firmware without any luck.

Is my device broken? Is there a fix?

No, I'm doing it through the genie. It's definitely connected to the internet because it works wired.

Have you logged into the extender and changed the ssid and password?

Make sure there's no special characters or spaces in the ssid/password
