Nighthawk Extender and Xfinity Router
We purchased a Nighthawk Extender to extend our signal right outside our 2000 SF home. We have high speed Xfinity Comcast Cable used with their router/modem. We set up the Nighthawk as required, near the router, and synced it with the WPS on the router also as required. Both the 2G and 5G networks were created also as required. Both the router and the Nighthawk are located in the center of the home and equidistant to the exterior. The Nighthawk LED is all showing the green LED connection. However, there is no affect on the signal --it doesn't appear to be extended at all, certainly not to the outside. We have tried everything and are completely frustrated. Can anyone help and let us know what step we are missing? Or if the Nighthawk devices simply do not work?

You have tried to place the extender it different parts of the home? Also it may be hard to get signal to the outside of the house the environment the wifi is in matters as it may not be able to bounce off anything.

Yes, we tried all parts of the house and all configurations. We totally know how Wi-fi works...it appears to be a problem with either the xfinity router or the netgear device not being compatible? We are about to give up on the netgear extenders!
