Nighthawk Mesh and Armor

Question

I recently purchased the Nighthawk Mesh system when I moved into a larger home. This replaced a Nighthawk X6S AC3600 router. I also use a CM1200 cable modem for Xfinity.

If I wanted to keep my Armor service, would it be possible to use the AC3600 as a router between the modem and the mesh system? In other words, CM1200 -> AC3600 (with wi-if radios off) -> Nighthawk Mesh (as AP)? Would the Armor protection extend across the whole mesh network?
