Nighthawk Mesh Extender EX7700 Disconnects From Internet
So I purchased an EX7700 to compliment my R7000P and have had nothing but issue after issue. After completing the installion per the instructions, the extender connected fine and worked great for about 4 hours! All lights remained on the extender (so it did not reboot) but it would just drop internet connection. I contacted support and was told the device was defective so I called Amazon and had it replaced. Followed the same procedure for the new extender and got the same results. So now I have just disconnected the extender all together. Note: even though the extender would lose conncetion, the R7000P remain connected and I had internet access by connecting to the router. I just spent 2 hours on the phone with Tech Support only for them to tell me to do everything I already done and still nothing. I am convinced that the EX7700 is NOT compatiple with the R7000P. I would love a solution to this problem if not I will be asking for my money back.

A couple questions and points.
1. This is the community forum. You can ask for your money back here but it isn't going to get anywhere. We're just members of the public helping others out.
2. Stating that tech support told you to do things that were already done doesn't tell us anything. What did they tell you do to and what have you done? We're not netgear and don't have access to what tech support did and I can't tell what you've done. Please expand this.
3. The R7000P does band steering aka smart connect. Is this enabled? Try disabling this and separating out the SSID's
4. What firmware is your router and extender on?
