How do I report fraud? I was having trouble with my extender, so I Googled Netgear support. I called the number, assuming I was talking with Netgear support. The person on the line took me through the steps to get the extender running correctly using the Anydesk app to control my computer and a free system examination. They "found" over 500 "attacks" and a few "breaches" that supposedly had worked around the Norton wall. Again, under the guise of Netgear technicians, they recommended a few solutions that would cost money. After several discussions and using the Anydesk app, they showed me all the issues "hiding" in my hard drive. The result was my foolish decision to purchase the $ 554.99 lifetime protection plan. This was 2022. Nsolutions would call semi-quarterly to make sure everything was OK. The call on Monday this week was a "red flag" warning that ransomware had infected my router and network. Once again using Anydesk they showed me the graphics claiming I need to get the Ransome ware out now and what it would cost. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I put them off and told them I would think about it. The last two days I found this community and realized that I had been a fool to think that Nsolutions was contracted by Netgear. They are scheduled to call me back on Monday morning. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to proceed at this time.

Start a chargeback on your card.
Uninstall anything on the computer. Preferably, just save you documents to a USB drive and re-install the operating system on the computer they remote managed.
Put an alert on your credit/banking cards if you had any sensitive information on the PC like banking/credit card.

Thank you. n solutions called again this morning, trying to sell a product that would remove ransomware. That didn't work. We have changed the cc details and eliminated all of their phony apps. They still claim to work for Netgear.

NG is not in anyway affiliated with NSolutions!
