Nighthawk X6 R8000 and Nighthawk X6S Tri-Band Range Extender - How to set IP address of Extender
Hi.
I have purchased a nice new X6S (EX8000) Nighthawk WiFi Extender.
It works fine.
Now I want to set it to receive another IP address from my R8000 Router.
As usual I select the device, and set the IP address to what I want it to receive, but it defaults back to 192.168.1.250 no matter what I try.
I see that the EX8000 has registered 3 MAC addresses in the Attached Devices of the R8000, where one has received the IP address.
How should I go about setting the IP address to what I want the EX8000 to receive.

Did you try reserving a different IP address for mac address?
You might need to shut down the router and the extender in order for it to take effect.
