No internet connection to WN3000P
Bought a WN3000RP this morning to extend the range of my reliable FWG114P.
All seemed to set-up correctly but when finished, the new ******_EXT connection fails to get internet connectivity.
The FWG114P doesn't seem to see the Extender even though the Extender picks the WiFi fine.
Kept moving the WN3000RP closer and closer to the router with no success even with all green lights every time.

- RobemanAspirantOk, back home again.
No it did not help, and I don't think this is the problem.
My computer is connected to the extender and the extender is connected to the router, I have access to the router setup through extender but no connectio to internet.
Can the problem be with router built in firewall? - jmizoguchiVirtuosoYou put ISP DNS on PC side and still failed.?
- TomOlssonAspirantI am having a similar problem. The WN3000RP range extender installed fine and was working fine. Then after a week or so decided I needed to reconfigure it, that is, when I tried to go to the web it brought up the mywifiext.net page and asked me to step through a number of config steps. Still did not connect to the Internet. The router was connected fine and I could get to the internet by connecting directly to it but not via the extender.
After turning the extender on and off, re-setting and so on, eventually it connected to the Internet again. A day or two later, no connection. Re-set, and all is fine... then it is off again.
The signal is always 100% and when it is working it works very well. But at this point it has become unused as the family is too frustrated with it and have gone back to being connected to the router wifi which has a low signal strength but at least it is there.
My wifi router is a Netgear DG834G.
Any help appreciated.

At leastI think I did that, I might have got something wrong with the settings.
Can you please advice how to do it the correct way. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoJust go to network adapter properties and change the DNS
I'm mobile so google " how to setup static ip....." - RobemanAspirant

Ok,got it!
It's working right now we'll see for how long. - jmizoguchiVirtuosoSounds good ! Keep post your updates
- RobemanAspirantIt worked for one day, then back to same problems again, now, a couple of days later I can't even access the router setup after reset.
Something must be wrong with the extender, I'm going back to the shop tomorrow or the next day to have it replaced.
To be continued........ - WebsurferNoviceI got this wifi extender 3 days ago... It works like a charm BUT only at this two conditions:
- disabling the MAC address filter on my router (dgnd3700)
- setting my ISP DNS on the PC I connect to the extender (thank you jmizoguchi!)
Without those settings, my notebook will connect to the extender (and to the lan) but with NO internet access...
Oh... the www.mywifiext.net url doesn't work... I must use IP address to access into WN3000RP
It clearly needs a more tuned-up firmware... - jmizoguchiVirtuoso

this doesn't work because DNS is public IP pc side If it was DNS using router as DNS and it would resolve it. so using IP is correct way in your current settings
