No internet connection via wire

I have an EX8000 wifi extender connected to my C7000 routers. In the past 2 months, I found that every two or three days devices connected to the extender via an Ethernet cable will have no internet access. All the wireless devices work fine and the only solution I have is to reboot the extender. But I have to reboot the extender every three days which is really frustrating.

I noticed that every time a wired device fail to connect to the internet, it does not have a virtual MAC address. I wonder if this is the reason. I tried to factory reset which does not help. I tried different firmware, none of it worked.

I'd be really appreciated if anyone knows how to solve this problem. Thanks!

  • Which firmware is on the EX8000?

Have you tried reinstalling the current firmware on the EX8000, resetting it, and then reinstalling it?

Sometimes an old setting could cause issues or corrupt firmware. By reinstalling and resetting, you'd overwrite any corrupt firmware and remove any bad settings.
