No router link after Virgin router upgrade

Recently upgraded Virgin media hub router with new SSID. Subsequently wifi extender will not link with router. Have tried going through mywifiext.net but it does not recognise my username and password (as supplied by Netgear). How do I reset the extender to link with the new router/SSID?

BTW I have tried a factory reset with no success. 😖

    You will have to hold the reset button for 10 seconds this should clear the info of the old router.
