Problems with wifi extender EX2700 after power outage
I bought an EX2700 a few weeks ago as an ethernet alternative and its been working amazingly giving me 30-40mbps download and 10-15 upload. We had a sudden 8 hour power outage on sunday and now it sits around 0-15mbps down and 5mbps up and i cant stop lagging when im playing games; any ways to fix it?

It might not be the extender itself. The extender is a single band 2.4ghz extender. 2.4ghz is more senstive to interference than what 5ghz because it broadcasts further, through more materials, and has less available channels. when you get a power outage, I assume you weren't the only one. It means that suddenly your whole area had their routers rebooting. maybe their routers didn't setup on the same wifi channel as they were.
So try changing wifi channels on your router. the extender should use the same channel the router is using.
What router are you on?
What speeds do you get from the router over the 2.4ghz connection?
- YeetmeisterAspirantThank you for he reply; I use a BT router and the connection was smooth at 2.4... as for switching channels I do not know how to do that so if you could reply with a method that would be great. Thank you.

You'll have to look up your specific router manual to find how to change its wifi channels. there's several BT routers.
- YeetmeisterAspirantOk thank you: as for the speeds, before the outage I did around 30-40mbps down and 10-15up but now I do 5-15down 3-8up I also believe my router (and the routers in my area) are all on the same channels as before.
