Question regarding outdoor wifi range extending/boosting

Have a netgear range extender but it doesnt go far outside. I got a jobar long distance antenna but it apparently doesnt work with what im trying to do, although it is made to be out side. It has very litle support that I can find. I need an antenna to boost my wifi to an adjacent house for internet and video streaming, through my my hughes net router and netgear extender
