R8000p wifi extender

Hello. Is possible to use a R8000P as a wifi extender? I need wifi on my garage but problem is, garage is 2 floors below me. I had the idea of using the power lines to have LAN at the garage and then i use the netgear as wifi repeater. Ist this possible? If yes, how do i set this up? Thanks in advance.

    the R8000P doesn't have a repeater or extender mode but it does have access point mode. 

    If your using powerline to connect the R8000P, you'd simply connect it and then set it up in access point mode.
