Range extender EX8000 not communicate with router

My network down last 3days ago. I thought our internet provider lines down. I called to X’finity and checked with them. Their line is ok and work fine. Later on troubleshooting with net gear router and found out net gear security issued. Because I never touch router and firmware update. Now reset everything and router is working back normal but range extender is can’t reconnect to router. Help me please if some one knew this problem.
Thanks.

    1. not sure what you mean "netgear security issue". Details help more than vague issues

    2. what router is the extender connecting to? (Model)

    3. what firmware is on the extender?

    4. what method of setup are you using? the app? WPS push button? using the installation assistant?

      1. Security issues mean previous app was not working at all. Can’t login. I deleted and reinstalled new app and register again.
      2. Router model R7960P (AC 3600, X6S)
      3. I can’t read firmware on extender now.
4.I tried both method of setup.
Extender LED are all blinking and also press factory reset button do not help.
Then tried with WPS still the same .
I followed the Net gear setup instructions.

Anything help will be really appreciated.
Thank you so much for replying me.

where is it failing in the process?

If you're using the installation assistant, it means you're connecting to the extender and should be able to view the firmware version in the gui.

Details a key, just saying it didn't work, doesn't help us. we needed details on where it failed in the process or what you were doing when it failed.
