Reseting an EX6150v2 wifi extender

Probably a quick and simple question...

So when I resync and reconnect my wifi extender to my router,  in extender mode,  and with same SSID,  it disapears off of my list of wifi networks to connect today.  I assume this is normal,  as I said use same name as base SSID,  and it's just... well...  extending the signal from the base.  So this is normal?

If so,  how to I verify or validate the health of the device other then the green lights on the device?
When I move it to it's final destination and reconnect devices to the network, how do I know it's performing and doing its job right and that I am getting the bandwidth/connective I want (other then the lines on the wifi connection strength).
Tanks

Yes. The EX6150v2 is a mesh extender. That means it uses the same ssid/password as the router and allows devices to switch between it and the router as needed. Thats the purpose of the "mesh".

If you want more details about connections, log into the router and lookup the extender's IP address in the attached devices page. that IP address will let you access it. Or you can use the app. I'm not a huge fan of the app using the extender but you can.
