Router not recogonizing extender?&nbsp; try to type same password into the EXT_ and doent connect&nbsp;&nbsp;Do I need to check&nbsp;WPA-PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] on wireless so router sees extender?

Did you set it up with wps or the installation wizard?

Try the wizard if you used wps. factory reset the extender and run the installation wizard.

What firmware is on the R6900P?

Once I upgraded the firmware on my AC1900 Router the extender worked on the WPS button the extender genie or the mywifiext

or the IP address: 192.168.1.250 would not activeate not sure why is there a setting I am missing on the AXC1900 routere?

I'm not sure what to even make of what you wrote. You first put that wps work and then wrote about not activating.

Maybe a better description of exactly what you're doing, what happens would be more beneficial

Sorry about that, so the extender is working only set-up throiugh the wps button on the extendeer and router. however, trying to get into the extender throught either the netgear genie or the ip address 192.168.1.250 is impossible.&nbsp;Is there a setting within the AC1900 router that would allow me to get into the extender netgear genie to see if there is a firmware to update on the exender?

If you managed to sync it, its not going to be on the 192.168.1.250 ip address. It'll be on whatever the router assigns to it. Log into the router and check the attached devices page or whatever the equivelent is for your router .
