Says Your access point has no Internet access but still works

Question

It says:&nbsp;Your access point has no Internet access. Check to make sure that your router has an Internet connection.&nbsp;But, it still works fine as a wired AP off my Asus Router. Why is it saying that?&nbsp;Thanks.

After lots of reading, I finally determined that this is from the AC1900 expecting IPv6. My upstream Netgear Router (R6400 w/ Firmware Version V1.0.1.26_1.0.19) was limiting network to IPv4.

The EX7000 | AC1900 No internet connection error went away after enabling IPv6 connection on the main router in Advanced - Advanced Setup - IPv6 and changing Internet Connection Type from "Disabled" to "DHCP" and Auto Config.

i noticed the same problem today, cant explain it as everythings working but i had a few dropouts on some connected wifi cameras during the day so its not helping with the troubleshooting.

+1.&nbsp;I was able to do an update after enabiling IPV6 as suggested on my primary.&nbsp; Its crazy that even a manual download and upload of the new firmware to the extender did not work without IPV6 being enabled.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Oh man.&nbsp; I thought it worked but it did not.&nbsp; It "made it further" by actually showing me the updated firmware release notes and asking me to confirm. But after procedding it failed again with some message about accessing a netgear site.&nbsp; Again, I could not update the firmware manually.&nbsp;I did a factory reset, set it up as an extender and then it successfully did the firmware update automatically after prompting me to update.&nbsp; So IPV6 may be a factor but a factory reset was required (at least for me) to go to 1.0.0.58.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
