Severe Throttling on bandwidth with Nighthawk extender upgrade
Hi,
Sorry it wouldn't allow my model in the subject bar, I am upgrading my older netgear extender (N600) to a Nighthawk AC1900 EX7000. I use this extender via Ethernet to my PC to boost the signal ...
What firmware are you running on the extender? Also, what router model are you using?
Everything i read says the Firmware is up to date on mywifiext.net. It's not a router though, it's an extender. Model number in OP, but Nighthawk AC1900 EX7000

Yes, but the router could be related to the performance issue, so it's helpful to know what it is.

There are some issues with the newest 1.0.1.76 firmware. So you might want to try downgrading the firmware to 1.0.0.66. https://kb.netgear.com/000059563/EX7000-Firmware-Version-1-0-0-66
