Slow speeds on Nighthawk X4S AC2200

I recently purchsased and installed the X4S with ATT model 5268AC router.  I have 4 blue lights and the extender is appx 30 feet from the router.  However, I am getting slow response to my Mac that is in same room as extender.  I am paying for 50 MGPS and test conducted just now revealed
