Trying to connect EAX20 AX1800 Mesh Extender with a tp-link VX420-G2H modem
My ISP has just sent me a new modem. It is a tp-link VX420-G2h.
I am trying to connect it with my EAX20 AX1800 Mesh Extender. In order to do that my Nighthawk app needs to be able to find the NETGEAR_EXT on my pixel 6 android phone. It doesn't appear in the phone.
What does appear is one of my old wifi user names with a very strong signal and no password. I'm thinking that I may have changed the Extender name back in the day. It is password locked but I don't have the password. Is there a way to reset this password?
Factory reset the extender and set it up using the installation assistant.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.
